History and humanities of shop location
Ruijin 2nd Road runs north-south, 1517 meters long. Built in 1907, in 1914, it was divided into the French Concession of Shanghai. It was named Route Pere Robert after the priest Xujiahui Catholic Church and the director of the French Public Board of Directors. As a very important north-south road in the middle of the French Concession, it was built along the road Many new-style lanes and apartments were built, and it was renamed Huangshan Road in 1943. Renamed Zhongzheng South Second Road in 1946. In 1950, it changed its name to Jiangxi Ruijin.
Among the many outstanding buildings on Ruijin 2nd Road, No. 26 is one of them. It is now a single western building. This is the former residence of Mr. Ying Yunwei, an early Chinese drama activist and film director.
Surroundings
It is connected to the bustling Huaihai Middle Road in the north and Zhaojiabang Road in the south. Both ends of Ruijin 2nd Road are lively places. Ruijin 2nd Road is like a little girl next door, quiet and unassuming. When I visit here, I feel that my steps will slow down, and the strong breath of life makes people feel peaceful. The perfect fusion of historical atmosphere and modern fashion is especially suitable for those who love home and have a bit of books in their bones. They can quietly reminisce about the flow of time and slowly appreciate the light of fashion.
